Miguel led Sally through the quite and dark streets of the small village. They were searching for place to call home. A hide out where they could plan and stay safe.
Miguel looks around the village. At the end of the rock covered road he spoted a small home. That could be thier ticket.
"I think I may found our hide out" Miguel tells her.
He leads her down the road to the home. Miguel knocks on the door to make sure that no one lived the. He glances inside through the window. It appeared to be empty for some time.
Miguel pulls at the door. It was unlock thankfully. So he pulled the door open. He smiled at Sally. " Ladies first" he says kindly to Sally.

Sally stepped cautiously inside the house, hoping that they wouldn't end up disturbing whoever lived there, if it did happen to be inhabited. But as she stepped inside, she quickly realized that wasn't anything to worry about. If anyone had lived there, it had been quite a while since they were around.
There was furniture, but all of it was covered in white sheets. She pulled one of the sheets off a table, coughing as she stirred up dust while doing so.
"I don't think anyone has been around here in a while," Sally called to Miguel, keeping her eyes out for any lights. She pulled a sheet off a chest of drawers, finding most of them empty, but managing to track down a candle holder and candle and matches. She struck one and light it, getting a better view of the darkened rooms with the bit of light coming off the candle.

Miguel nods." Yes I think your right" he agrees with Sally.
Miguel glances around the small room. He runs hand over table that was uncovered. He wipes off some dust. Watching as the dust floats into the air. Cause himself to sneeze because of the dust.
Miguel glances over at Sally. He knew there lot to plot and do. For now he just wanted to rest. He smiled at her and walks over.
" Shall we stay here then?" He asked her gently.

She nodded. "I think we should," She said, "Who knows if we'll be able to find another empty house..."
She folded up the sheets she'd pulled off the furniture, setting them down on the table. "I wonder if there are any beds in here," She asked quietly. She returned to the drawers, digging out another candle holder and candle, lighting it for Miguel and handing it to him so he could have a look around himself.
Picking up the candle again, she began to move through the rest of the house. She found a washroom and the kitchen, with the sort of appliances she had been used to using in Halloweentown, though there was no food in the pantry or cabinets. They'd have to find some place to buy it-and someway to pay for it as well.

After thanking her. Miguel walks off down another hall way. He shines the light of the candle around. As he looks around. He sees one door at the end of the hall.
He walks towards it. This could be a bedroom. he thinks to himself.
He place his long hand on the door knob. He goes to turn it but finds out that the door was lock. Not just lock but locked very tightly too.
Miguel frowns. Wondering why the door had been lock so tight. What could be in there that no one wanted anyone to see or find? Could be important? Possibly.
Miguel glances at the door one more time before going off to find Sally.
"Hey Sally" Miguel calls for her as he finds her in the other hall way." I found this door but its lock. Something important may be inside"]

Sally hurried down the hall as he called him, peering at the door for a moment. Why would only one door in the house be locked, when even the front door was open?
"Maybe I can get it open," She said thoughtfully, more to herself than to Miguel. She set her candle down, before kneeling down, examining the key hole of the door. She searched her hair, hoping she would still have a hairpin in it, as she did before coming to this world-and luckily, she did.
She quickly set the work attempting to pick the lock. She'd done it a few times before, with locked cabinets in the Doctor's lab-how different could a door be?
At last, with a triumphant smile, she heard a quiet click, the door now unlocked. She grabbed her candle and rose again, looking to Miguel, a bit uncertain of what might be behind it.

Miguel smiled at her widely and full of child like wonder. He was always so curious. It was in his nature after all.
"Shall we see what's inside?" Miguel asked her gently and grins.
He was clearly exicted about finding out whatever was inside. Must be something important if the last person who lived here had locked the door so tightly. Whatever it was they wanted no one to find out what it was. Making Miguel want to all the more to know what it was.

Sally nodded, and slowly opened the door, just a crack. She peered inside, unable to tell what was held within, no light coming from within. She pushed the door fully open, and stepped inside, using her candle to illuminate the contents of the room.
There were a few large pieces of furniture-sofas and chairs, it looked like-covered in dusty sheets, along with several large wardrobes lining. She raised an eyebrow at them, wondering what was stored inside.
"Maybe its just a storeroom," Sally mused as she continued to look through the room, more to herself than to Miguel.

"Maybe" Miguel says to her. He walks into the middle of the room. He looks around exictedly. He was curious as child would be.
He starts over the nearest wardrobe. He pulled on it till it open. He glances inside. He pulls out what look like some very old papers. He grabs his candle and reads some of the papers.
"They appear to be some kind of spells"Miguel says as he looks back up at Sally.

"Spells?" She asked, her curiosity piqued. There had been witches back in Halloweentown, and the Doctor had had a few spellbooks in his possession, having sought to study the nature of magic. She herself could do a little magic, though it was limited to visions of the future.
She walked over, picking up an old scroll from within the wardrobe and unrolling it, revealing a few spells concerned with cleaning. Clearly, they weren't under affect in the house any more. "Perhaps a witch used to live here," She suggested to him, moving to the next wardrobe.
She opened it, peering in to find various jars lining the cabinet's shelves. "Potion regents," She reported confidently to Miguel, even recognizing a few of the ingredients as such.

Miguel nods. He was very interested in this. He knew what Tulio would say, that it was rubbish. Tulio only believed in what he could see with his eyes. He wasn't at all open minded like Miguel at all. Just thinking of Tulio made Miguel sad. He missed his friend, thinking of him caused him sarrrow. He had to push this thought out of his head.
"I wonder why they left thier home" He asked Sally.

Sally shrugged her shoulders. "Perhaps they didn't leave on purpose," She suggested as she gently closed the cabinets, "Maybe they were affected by whatever brought us here, and they were taken away from their home too."
That didn't explain why everything, of course. Everything was covered up, or packed away in the cabinets. Unless someone had done that after they'd left, it seemed that whoever lived there once left deliberately, or perhaps simply died.

"Makes md want to know what happen"Miguel tells her." Just maybe if you and I were taken here. Maybe others were too. Even family or friends".
Hoping course that Tulio or even Chel was here as well. He looks over at Sally." I say in morning we go out and look. What do you say Sal?" he asked her.

"I certainly hope they are," She said softly. No one in Halloweentown ever took much note of her, but she'd like to know that they were all safe. Especially Jack. If she could find no one else, but knew that Jack was okay, then she would be happy.
She nodded eagerly as he suggested they go out and look. "Yes, we should," She agreed, "First thing in the morning?"
