apperance;; In his skeletal form, Jack is tall, and obviously made of bones. He wears a pin-strip black and white suit, with a bat bow-tie. In his new human form, he has pale skin and blue-gray eyes. His hair is a light brown colour. He is still tall, and thin, and wears the same suit as his skeletal form.
personality;; Jack is both curious and persistent. He knows about all things Halloween and when it comes to something new, he is ready to learn. He is not easily distracted from what he wants, even when he is told many times of the consequences or dangers. He always wants what's best for Halloween Town, such as getting them out of a rut by taking on a new holiday. Jack is kind and caring, and has always taken a fancy to Sally.
As the Pumpkin King, Jack is skilled at scaring others, be they human or creature. He can be secretive as he likes to think things out for himself, but will eventually come to his friends for advice. He is never afraid to share what's on his mind, and will take matters into his own hands if needed.

history;; Jack was born like any other human. He lived his life and died to later become the best at scaring humans. He stayed in Halloween Town, where Halloween was the only holiday celebrated. He became the Pumpkin King and held this title for a number of years, until one year Jack found that he was tiring of this Halloween thing. He wanted something new, something exciting. While wondering through the forest, he came across a clearing with a ring of trees. Each tree had a picture on it. Curiosity got the best of him, and Jack made his way to one tree with a decorated tree on it.
He opened the door, and fell into a swirling vortex that landed him in a magical place with little creatures, small lights and cheer everywhere. He was in Christmas Town. Jack explored this new place, before retuning to Halloween Town to tell everyone there about this new holiday called Christmas. He decided to take it on instead of “Sandy Claws” doing it. Sending Lock, Shock and Barrel to retrieve him while he gets things ready in Halloween Town.
Sally tries to stop him, but he is to focused on his goal that he ignores her, instead he asks her to make his Sandy Claws outfit. Christmas comes and everything is ready. Jack takes off in his sleigh, pulled by Dr. Finkelstein's skeleton reindeer. Everything goes well until the military is sent after him for ruining Christmas. The sleigh crashes in a cemetery, where Jack talks himself into returning to Halloween Town to save Sandy Claws from Oogie Boogie. Once there, he sees that Sally has been captured as well. He sneaks in to Oogie's lair and saves them by getting rid of Oogie in his own contraption. Sandy saves Christmas and Jack goes back to being the Pumpkin King.

Jack had been The Pumpkin King for a while now, so when the time came for him to scare the living, he already had his night all planned out. He straightened his bow, dusted off his suit and got ready to head to the world of the living. On his way out, he noticed a black cloud hovering low in the sky. Shrugging it off as some weird Halloween weather, Jack continued walking to the place where he would enter the other world.
He was nearly there when the strange cloud got even lower. It now touched the ground, causing a blackout to happen. Jack tried to find his way out of the cloud, but the end was nowhere in sight. Stumbling through the darkness, he could see a pinprick of light. He fought his way towards it and stepped out of the dark cloud. He looked around expecting to see the familiar town, but instead he found himself in a dark, sunless place.
