I feel the power, it's growing by the minute. And pretty soon, you're gonna see me wallow in it.[/center]
name;; Hexxus.
nickname/s;; As far as nicknames go, well, destruction and spirit of destruction seem to be really the only things close to that he has.
age;; Ageless; Hexxus is a spirit, albeit a demonic one, thus he does not age.
sexuality;; While likely not that overtly sexual a creature to everything else, save for the way he talks about things and his mannerisms, I'll call him bisexual. Don't expect him to be too curious about just anybody, though, especially given his nature.
species;; Hexxus is a demonic spirit; 'the very spirit of destruction' in the world he came from, as stated by Magi Lune.
special abilties;; Hexxus has reserves of destructive magic at his disposal, as he represents the destructive and cold side of nature. Once upon a time, he predominately worked with volcanoes, though with the advancement of human technology, poisons human beings pumped into the air and the 'lovely' machines which they used to do so became of more interest- they were easier to feed off of. This isn't to say Hexxus has lost his ancient abilities regarding volcanoes, he simply needs to have access to one and be at full strength to use them. His other abilities include shifting forms; originally this was between an extremely weak goopy form, a black cloud-like form, and two variations of his true, skeletal nature (the giant fiery skeleton of death from the end of the movie being his true form, of course.) Coming to the kingdom has granted him an additional human form that he slips in every now and again when he deems it necessary or needs to conserve energy, but of course he prefers his original forms.
Hexxus also has some pyrokinetic and poison-spewing abilities, but he can only use the fire ones in one of his skeletal forms, and the poison ability he can only use in his cloud form. Unfortunately for him however, the magic cast upon him to bind him twice by the fairies of ferngully have weakened his abilities from what they were in ancient times. He exhausts himself much sooner, and requires either destructive energy or poisons to keep strengthening himself and keep himself going. Without a certain amount of this energy, he cannot hold his true form for long, and it is an aggravation he desperately hopes to have undone by another villain.
film;; Ferngully: The last rainforest
Flowers and trees, depress and frankly bore me.
I think I'll spew them all with cyanide saliva
I think I'll spew them all with cyanide saliva
apperance;;
Hexxus certainly is a unique figure in terms of appearance, when it comes to his non-human forms. The weakest form he can assume, which he only does out of desperation, is a large, disgusting, brown puddle of goo. His secondary solid form is a flicker of what his true form is like, though much smaller in stature. It is skeletal in nature; half a black humanoid skeleton, that would have fire billowing inside and around it if he maintained it long enough. His 'middle' form, also the one that is the easiest for him to travel in and get where he needs to be, is that of the large cloud he assumed for most of the movie- a mass of black, wispy energy that is toxic in nature and eerie; making him look like a terrifying ghost, especially with his glowing, nearly jack-o-lantern face. His true form is the most intimidating of them all, however. When he amasses enough energy to sustain it, he becomes a gigantic half a black skeleton with a cape of toxic sludge and searing-hot flames burning all throughout his body. This is the 'volcano god' older human cultures settled in the area of ferngully were familiar with; a figure to be both revered and terrified, and appeased to as much as possible. It's little wonder why anybody would be afraid of him in this form, because seeing him like this is almost like looking straight into hell itself.
The human form he can assume draws from his various forms, and in his cloud-like state, there is definitely a resemblance between the two of them. In his human form he has dark hair and brown eyes to match his form's colors, and often wears dark shades, or colors that correspond to various types of poisons. Strangely enough however, his attire in human form usually is also always very nice; almost like a chic, shady, slimy businessman you shouldn't trust, but who can come across charismatic at times through his appearance alone. But of course, sometimes there is something that seems off about him, particularly since he enjoys shifting his eyes back to one of their former states in human form to intimidate others at times.
personality;; Hexxus is a sadist, plain and simple. He greatly enjoys the suffering of others and being the cause of it, and though some of this can be attributed to the role he once existed for, it's clear he's gone above and beyond the call of his duty and developed quite a taste for spreading destruction and misery. The pain of others greatly amuses him, and he is a cold, callous creature who doesn't care a thing for anybody else; be they enemy or ally. He will absolutely indulge alliances with others, especially if it's in his best interest or he is getting something out of it. He may even respect his ally to some degree. However, all that being said, he never truly cares for anybody beyond himself as that's not in his nature, and he is an egotistical creature that likes to put himself on top, push others around, and once he's gotten everything he wanted..Kick said allies to the curb, if he doesn't completely drain them of every ounce of usefulness first.
He is a dangerous creature with no real set goals in stone other than to become more powerful, escape the limitations of the binding curses places upon him, and rain chaos and destruction on the world. Ultimately he is a murderer as well; eager to destroy forests and living creatures. He respects destructive humans and the like to some extent, and is willing to let them stay around much longer since he and they coexist well enough and can provide him with wonderful things to feed off of, as well as unwittingly help him in his destructive goals to slowly and painfully kill the earth..But at the end of the day, he is still planning their destruction out as well, though it amuses him he doesn't have to do much there and humans are leading to their own untimely demises in numerous ways.
family;; Hexxus doesn't have any family since he is an immortal spirit, though once upon a time he and Magi Lune coexisted as two balancing forces of nature. Obviously that all went to hell, but that was the closest he ever has and ever will be to having family.
history;; Long ago, Hexxus worked alongside Magi Lune and the spirits of creation; serving as the more destructive side of nature. His influence was no less intimidating, but back then, his methods had much more of a purpose befitting the natural cycle- he helped paved the way for Magi Lune to create new life. He lived in and operated out of a rather large volcano, and for the most part kept to himself and his role in the balance of the world. Things changed when humans started settling in the area of Ferngully and interacting with the fairies; the balance was thrown off by their presence alone, and when some of the primitive tribes began to treat him as a god of sorts, they both built resentment and helped spur the demonic creature's already-existing ego to a worse point. Hexxus had already been growing more dangerous and less concerned with the balance over time, but humans helped spurred him on to tossing aside care for the natural order just as the nature spirits had done by sharing some of their secrets with the mortals. Without warning, the spirit of destruction rose from the depths of the volcano and spread death and destruction across Ferngully; slaughtering numerous humans, animals, even some of the fairies, and chasing the rest of their human allies away.
But he wasn't done there, he was determined to destroy ferngully as a whole, and would have accomplished this were it not for Magi Lune. The most powerful of the creation spirits locked him away in a tree, with the assistance of the other fairies, sealing him away so that he would never be able to bring destruction upon the world again, despite the repercussions this might have on the balance. Over quite a long period of time, Hexxus stewed in the tree; slowly and steadily losing his powers without any toxins or destructive forces to feed him, until he had been reduced to his weakest form yet. It was a neverending hell for the destructive entity; so close to those he wished vengeance upon, yet powerless to do anything to stop them..While he was alive and aware of everything going on around him. His hatred for nature and anything to do with it built over his incarceration, and he promised himself that if he ever escaped, he would wipe Ferngully off the face of the planet forever. A promise that seemed to serve little other purpose than to keep himself from going completely insane, until humans arrived back in Ferngully- this time, to destroy the area themselves.
With the unwitting help of these humans, Hexxus broke free from his prison and hid himself inside the lovely machine they were using to deforest Ferngully, growing stronger by the fumes the leveler produced. He manipulated the machine in his ploys for revenge, nearly coming close to obtaining it...Before he was trapped in yet another tree, doomed to repeat history over again. Fortunately enough for Hexxus however, he was only trapped for a short while before the villains magic worked to create the kingdom and bring them all into one world, and as result of their magic, he was freed from his prison. Now, Hexxus is determined to enact his revenge on those that did him wrong, as well as regaining and rising to power, destroying what nature he can, and seeing to it destruction and chaos remain the ruling factors.

It was a horrendously boring day by just about every single one of his standards. The sun was out and shining, cute little animals flitted to and fro happily enjoying the so-called 'beautiful' weather, and naturally there was a wide stretch of colorful, exotic flora as far as the eye could see. A proverbial ocean of healthy green, with bright colors flecked to and fro- a paradise to any creature or lover of nature...but the same old mundane nonsense to him.
"Dissssgusssssting," the diminutive, sentient pile of muck hissed in regards to all the gorgeous scenery. There couldn't have been a worse punishment than this, after having escaped a fairy-blessed tree for the second time in his existence, in just about the weakest form he had. It was humiliating and maddening, this seemingly endless stretch of plant life. Hexxus could sense toxins, faintly, off in the distance, and was desperately slithering his way toward them in the hopes of gathering enough energy to shed this wretched, useless form.
But, all he kept coming across was more of this. The same old, drab, ugly stretches of jungle that bore little distinction from Ferngully. It was as if that blasted Crysta and her hoarde of fairies had cast some sort of spell on him to fool his senses into going on a wild goose chase; perhaps they had figured out that he had escaped, and done such a devious thing in the hopes he would run himself ragged slithering in circles until he had exhausted what little energy he had left and fell into a permanent state of hibernation. The sickening-looking pile of brown sludge stopped dead in his tracks at the thought, a horrible notion that such a thing could be the truth gripping him with a well-deserved sense of fear. Was it possible? Did those obnoxious creatures have that sort of power?
Hexxus pondered the matter for several minutes, before his paranoia died down. A low chuckle escaped him, humored at the thought he had worried about it at all. Of course they didn't- if they had, Magi Lune would have wasted no time utilizing such trickery against him in the past. It certainly would have been a far more simple task than locking him away in a tree the first time had been.
He growled at the thought of that as he kept pushing himself onward, forcing himself to slither over every inch of disgusting grass he came across. Thinking about destroying all of it, finally enacting his revenge, helped get him through it- all the humiliation, all the struggling, it would be worth it once Ferngully had finally been wiped off the face of the earth. He would see to its destruction, he would never relinquish his hatred for them- especially not after they had tried to confine him in what he hated most again. They would pay for this misdeeds against him...but he wanted them to suffer, slowly. For their deaths to be every bit as agonizing as his imprisonment had been. Only then would he ever feel truly satisfied with his revenge.
First though, he had to gather the necessary amount of toxic energy to wield against them. There was a city near here somewhere, and that was where he was headed- because where there was a city, there were humans...and where those delightful, destructive little creatures inhabited, there were bound to be machines and fumes aplenty just waiting for him like a thoughtful, continental breakfast.
