Eric woke with the sound of the sea ringing in his ears. He was laying on the ground, as he sat up he placed a hand on the back of his head which was throbbing. “What happened?” He thought back to the last thing he remembered; it was the day of their wedding, he was going to marry Ariel. Ariel! Where was she? For a fleeting moment he thought of Ursula, but that couldn't be true, he had struck her with a ship.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Eric noticed a large city centred around a large oak tree. He stood and began to walk towards it. He walked between the buildings along the narrow streets, not really seeing anyone. “How strange. This is nothing like home.” He thought out-loud. His thoughts then strayed back to Ariel. “Oh Ariel, I have failed you.” His head sunk in sadness, but from the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of red. He raised his head and looked. It was a girl with red hair just like Ariel's! He ran after her. “Wait!” She stopped and turned to face him. It was not his beloved. His heart sank and he wandered to the centre of the city, leaning against the tree hoping to find her in this place. Momentarily, he glanced at the castle that was sitting on a nearby hill, somehow he thought it had something to do with what was happening.

Ariel had woken up only a hour ago. Since then she had set off in a panic. All she could think of was finding Eric. She knew if she was to find him. Least then they would be able work together to get home. Find way out of this strange and dark place.
Ariel had always dream of the lands above as bright and warm place. This place was far different then that of what she saw of the land around Eric's home. Why had she been so blind to believe all lands were warm and happy. This was neither warm or happy. It was in fact very cold and unpleasnt.
She ran her hands down her arms feeling terribly cold and most of all fearful. For what was to lay ahead of her. Scared of the endless darkness that was all around her. Making her feel very small in such a dark and cold place.
Ariel pauses as she could hear echos all around her as she walk through the empty streets. Echos that sent chills down her back. she whimped as she started to run to get out of this village.
She ran till she reachs the edge of the village. She looks up seeing yet dark looking palace. Unlike Eric's palace which was so bright. She sighs and wanted just dig hole and stay there forever. Maybe that was bit to dramatic. Even for her.
She was almost ready to give up when she spotted someone on the hill ahead of her. Wasn't just someone. It was Prince Eric.
A happy feeling lifts her up as she started to run towards him. "Eric!"She cried as she drew closer to him."Eric!"She cried once again.

Eric had been losing hope in ever finding Ariel. The few people that walked by would either looked at him in disgust or didn't even bother to pay him any attention. He ran a hand through his black hair and continued to look for her. As he searched, his gaze came to rest on the dark castle that towered over this place. He didn't know how, but something about it felt wrong to him. The whole place seemed to radiate with pure evil.
He closed his eyes to clear his thoughts of such things when he heard something. It sounded like someone was calling his name, not just someone but Ariel. “Ariel?” He scanned the area, looking for his red headed beauty. “Ariel?” Then he saw her running towards him. He started to run to her as well. “Ariel! I thought I'd never see you again!” When he reached her, he picked her up and spun her in a complete circle, placing her back on her feet. “Oh Ariel, I thought I'd lost you.” He had his hands on her shoulders, leaning in he kissed her on the nose.

Ariel is over filled with happiness that filled up inside her. She giggles as she kisses her Prince back. " Im so happy to see you Eric!"She hugs him close. Laid her head on his shoulder.
This whole places was indeed dark and very frighten for the Princess. She knew however she would be safe now that Eric was here with here. They could find way home together.

Eric smiled when he heard Ariel giggle. “I'm happy to have you back too.” He rested his head on hers, feeling her soft red hair on his cheek. Seeing a flash of worry in her eyes, he comforted her. “Don't be afraid my Princess, I'll protect you.” He never wanted to let her go, but in order to get out of here he would have to. Taking a step back, he left one hand on her waist, admiring her beauty in the fading light of the none existent sun as the shadows grew around them and the few villagers found their ways home. “We should find a place to stay until morning. I don't trust this place in the day, let alone the night.”
